On the hunt for

So Easy

An Anine Bing black satin skirt is a hero piece in my wardrobe and I wear it all year long. However, I want to replicate the sweater over a satin slip dress in a post from last week — it’s just so easy. I have the tan Vince turtleneck above (runs very large) and now I’m on the hunt for a complementary satin dress. The color of this Nili Lotan looks good, but it may not be long enough. I’ll let you know.

Grey Vanessa Bruno sweater, grey Joseph silk-satin dress.

  • Love this Preston. I too now like a longer length. I’ve been wearing a L’Agence black slip dress on repeat with black lace tee over, as the temp drops I’m transitioning to black cashmere tneck. Yes, so easy.

  • I have the anine bing black skirt ( what a great shape!) and a Vince cream version . I can’t remember but I must have bought them after YOU MENTIONED THEM on your pages. I love wearing them. I pair with sweaters from The Row and Allude. So easy to wear and you feel so good. Thank you for the excellent tips. I always look to you, Preston, for the best style suggestions!

  • Such a great look. I’d wear with boots, booties, sneakers, loafers, etc. I have a feeling the Nili Lotan will work because the model is 5’11” in the photos. Keep us posted.

  • Dear Preston & Keep it Chic-ers, how do these Anine Bing silk pieces run in size? I want to try the skirt or dress but work in a conservative environment.

  • Lovely. Question, how do you stay warm at the bottom. Knee high boots I guess now that It’s starting to get cold, but dark/heavy tights will ruin and or cling to it. So no tights and just deal with being cold? Not a fan of the OTK boot look. This is why I never wear dresses/skirts in cold weather sadly. THANKS

  • The Nili Lotan dress is indeed too short and I don’t love the raw-edge hem.

  • I can thoroughly recommend the silk slip dresses by Silk Laundry, an Australian Company. They are beautifully cut, a good length and are gorgeous to wear. Washable too!
