On my mind

Happy Thanksgiving!

When I pulled this crumble recipe from a local Maryland magazine last summer, Thanksgiving was months away. I knew it would be the perfect dessert this year in lieu of pie. So, here I am making crumble — it came up fast.

Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. Family, friends, and good food are the best gifts of all.

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you, Preston and your readers who celebrate Thanksgiving.
If that crumble includes rhubarb, I am in food heaven, but if sharp berries only still happy.

  • Looks delicious. Crumble is really deconstructed pie, so it qualifies as traditional! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, as well as to all the KIC community.

  • Miss Preston, anything with the word ‘crumble’ in it wins my vote! Fruit desserts are my favorite. Wishing you and the KIC gang all the blessings and bounty of Thanksgiving!

  • The recipe has grated fresh ginger, which is why it caught my eye — yum! Because of the season, I used strawberries, raspberries and green apples. xp
