  • This comment isn’t in regard to today’s post, but rather that I couldn’t take one more day of seeing the brown Gucci 1955 bag in your what’s new section without ordering it! Thank you for continuing to feed my fashion obsessions!

  • I can’t wait for my Hermes lipstick – what took them so long?

    LisaJanuary 17th, 2020  10:49 AM

  • In a world with a zillion lipsticks, what could possibly be unique or special about Hermes? Have they just discovered new colors never seen before in lipstick history? It feels very brand-shopping to me. I cannot imagine a scenario in life where I would pop for this. : )))

    PaulaJanuary 17th, 2020  11:30 PM

  • Hermes produced and sold a lipstick many years ago. It was in a small gold tube, and only came in one color…a sheer red. So this is NOT the first lipstick they have made. I liked the first one so much I bought a backup!

    SharonJanuary 18th, 2020  9:01 AM

  • I love Nars and as much as I lose lip products, I can’t imagine buying this as I think it’s going to be too crazy expensive for me to lose. The packaging has got to be great though!

    TracyJanuary 18th, 2020  9:59 AM

  • There are refills for the tubes.

    PrestonJanuary 18th, 2020  10:10 AM

  • I just got the new Westman Atelier lip suede compact and I’m having lots of fun mixing lip colors from this beautiful red compact!

    LindaJanuary 18th, 2020  2:03 PM

  • They will sell out. ..
Look fabulous like their colourful enamel bracelets…can’t afford a purse, buy a lipstick and feel great.

    SusanJanuary 18th, 2020  6:37 PM

  • Exactly – they are figuring that if a customer can’t afford a purse but wants something “Hermes” in their life, why not sell them the label? For me, brand shopping without any other purpose/value than the name, the brand, is not worthy of pursuit. A famous name doesn’t give one’s life more value. My feeling is that true style/what’s truly chic has to have more than a brand or famous face attached to it. The woman before the brand, if that makes sense. But I have no doubt it will sell out. Grabbing up labels is to often the great American pastime.

    PaulaJanuary 18th, 2020  8:16 PM

  • The cost is $67 with refills for $42. Yikes!

    TracyJanuary 18th, 2020  8:39 PM

  • Oops! Meant ‘a famous brand doesn’t give one’s lipstick more value.’

    PaulaJanuary 19th, 2020  12:57 AM

  • So here in Toronto that lipstick will retail for around $100 & $55 for refills. Yikes!

    SusanJanuary 19th, 2020  8:23 AM

  • Agree with Paula. Also, just more stuff, out in the world…..but I’ll say I’m not a huge lipstick fan anyway.

    KathyJanuary 19th, 2020  9:53 AM

  • Dear Paula, you are so very right! Hermes is all about equestrian lifestyle to me (still!), a saddle, a bag, some scarfs (sadly I noticed poorer quality over the last few years), but Hermes lipstick???… No, absolutely not interesting. It’s a shame that even H is choosing this way.

    IsabelJanuary 19th, 2020  1:02 PM

  • Not super into lipstick in general, but Hermès does have some fabulous perfumes. So they have had a toe in the beauty market. But to each her own!

    ErinJanuary 20th, 2020  10:51 AM

  • Dear Diane—
I have succumbed to the siren song of the Gucci 1955 bag in brown. It is even more beautiful on my shoulder than it appeared on net a porter’s website!

    LindaJanuary 20th, 2020  4:09 PM

  • Great packaging
