On My Mind

Peter Lindbergh took this picture of French singer Mylène Farmer’s hands in 1999 and I’ve always loved it’s realness. I’m not a polish fan — my nails grow so quickly the upkeep is constant. But it doesn’t bother me in this photograph. I’m craving a winter tweak and a dark nail color could be good.
What's New
Belted leather biker jacket
Triple Francois 18kt gold vermeil earrings
Jimmy Leather Puffer Jacket
Le 57 quilted leather shoulder bag
Blade velvet slingback pumps
Logo-embellished leather loafers
Crocheted Cotton-Blend Midi Skirt
Delcie tie-detailed ramie midi dress
Gate knotted leather slippers
Postcard fringed crocheted straw bucket hat
Santos de Cartier metal shield sunglasses
There’s something very poignant about the photograph, and the regrowth of her nails is part of it. Not sure about real life though.
Wait – are these YOUR hands?
No, sadly
Ahhh – that makes sense. I was thinking what a cool portrait to have!
Dark polish only looks good on me for a week…if I don’t chip it. That’s why I have been staying with Dior Nail Glow.
I just made that change from natural color/French manicure to a deep burgundy, and I really am enjoying the difference. Using gel polish makes the chip problem a non-issue!
