NYFW 2020

Marc Jacobs closed a pretty ho-hum NYFW with a bang. Marc told WWD that the collection is not nostalgic but, rather, joyful. Whatever the inspiration, he showed a lot of beautifully constructed clothes to covet next fall.

What's New
Park small grained-leather shoulder bag
Logo-embellished leather loafers
Crocheted Cotton-Blend Midi Skirt
Cropped crocheted cotton-blend wide-leg pants
Amuko leather-trimmed suede tote
Crochet-knit cashmere, wool and silk-blend mini dress
Delcie tie-detailed ramie midi dress
Gate knotted leather slippers
Postcard fringed crocheted straw bucket hat
Santos de Cartier metal shield sunglasses
Double-breasted virgin wool coat
I saved the denim look with the peter pan collar and gray sweater and the three brown tweed coats in my photos last night. I loved those looks! It also looks like he reinvigorated those pointy toed mouse shoes again and the mary jane shoes as well. I only wished he’d recreate the shoes he designed when he was at Louis Vuitton in 2013. Serious retro fashion at its best!
Agree – those brown costs!!
Feels very retro and 60’s ….love the tailoring and so wearable.
It seems like he is going back to his roots – still have some of the fabulous pieces he designed for Perry Ellis before the “grunge collection”.
yes!! LV 2013 was so dreamy, it still swirls in my head. Once of his best collections for LV
timeless and clean. shades of brown are just amazing!
This was his best collection in years. Lots of wearable clothes. But my taste tended more towards Gigi and Karlie’s looks.
My take from NYFW was that I didn’t need to buy anything new next winter!
Adorable coats and collars! I’m curious where they are made – if the quality is up there, I would add a few of these pieces to my closet in a second. Coats are everything.
“Coats are everything” could be my motto and will certainly be the title of a post 🙂
