Cary Leitzes, the beauty on the right, and I were Harper’s Bazaar colleagues. Our offices were next door to each other — she chose the photographers and I the models. At a fashion magazine, you can’t have one without the other. Cary was the Yang to my Yin and, although very different, we bonded over a common enemy and became good friends. It’s not surprising that we left HB within moments of each other: Cary to start the successful creative agency LEITZES&CO, and I to focus on show casting and, ultimately, kic.
At a lunch this past Christmas, Cary gifted the group bottles of Superflower, a CBD-infused facial serum that she developed with Olivia Combemale, the beauty on the left. Both women were looking for a clean and effective one-step product to simplify their skincare routine, right when CBD was gaining momentum. Unable to find an existing serum that maximized the benefits of CBD, Cary and Olivia set out to create their own. After extensive research, the two discovered a broad-spectrum oil extract from an Oregon farm, and the rest is history. Diligent ingredient sourcing and formulation, plus rounds-and-rounds of testing paid off with a first-rate product.
Bravo, Cary! Superflower’s Everyday Serum is fantastic.
