Going Galette
We are in peak strawberry season and strawberries paired with rhubarb is a beautiful thing. The last few years I’ve made crumbles from my favorite fruit duo, however, this weekend I’m going to attempt this bon appétit galette. Years ago, I’d throw a galette together with whatever fruit was in the fridge, but got out of practice. And last summer I only made them with tomatoes. “Galettes were invented to make amateur bakers feel like pros. The less perfect they are, the cooler they look.”

My mother made rhubarb pie every summer and it was my absolute favorite. I will have to try making this galette. It looks delicious!
Strawberry/rhubarb is my absolute favorite as well. I make a version of a clafoutis with that combo. This looks delicious!
I recently made one that was frangipane with rhubarb on top…I had forgotten how easy frangipane is to make and how nicely it plays with the tart rhubarb.
