Going Long

Though I’m not tall, I bought the Gabriela Hearst skirt reasoning that it would be a cinch to shorten. However, when worn with my Hermès stacked heel sandals circa 2001 (seriously, DON’T overpurge) it looks pretty good — despite needing to be pressed — so I’m going to leave the length as is. I had the grey aRossGirl❤️Soler dress made last fall and cannot wait to have an excuse to wear it.

  • Thank you!

    PrestonJanuary 22nd, 2021  4:04 PM

  • There’s something very chic about this length, especially with a stacked high heel or ballet flat. It elongates the body and the skirt/dress moves really beautifully. I think the length is really flattering on you, Preston!

    The heels are clutch, btw….

  • Okay here comes a mom-ism: you look like the cat who got the cream. Deservedly so Preston, shoes that still work, a skirt that looks fabulous and makes you look fabulous. A good day.
