Hermès has a new head perfumer, Christine Nagel, and her debut, rose-based fragrance Galop d’Hermès is purportedly a hit. Hey, I’d buy it just for the clever bottle—love the stirrup motif.
Speaking of rose-based scents, my favorite from the Le Labo Discovery Set is the Rose 31.

I’m on the hunt for a new fragrance and want to try these by Le Labo. The vials are the perfect size for travel, too.
My favorite profile in “The New Garconne: How to be a Modern Gentlewoman” is on London-based perfumer Lyn Harris. Harris co-founded the luxury fragrance brand, Miller Harris, before launching her solo endeavor, the bespoke atelier Perfumer H. I’m heading to England for college tours and look forward to meeting Ms. Harris.
I’m a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s products and want to try her lipsticks. This trio of minis would be an easy way to take them on a test drive.
When I spied Aerin’s Beach Cream on Net-A-Porter this morning, I was surprised to see that it’s for both hair and skin—gotta love a double-duty product. I bet it smells good, too.
When Cara Delevingne came on the scene a few years ago, the eyebrow took center stage. I did a post on brow grooming options, bought a Tom Ford pencil, then my daughter permanently “borrowed” it. So, when my friend Alyson of That’s Not My Age posted on brow maintenance last week, I decided it was time to try again. This Laura Mercier brow pencil in Fair Blonde is my new obsession—thanks, AW.
I carry a small bottle of Jurlique Rosewater in my bag, especially on hot days. Reminds me of my mother spritzing herself with Evian and it smells heavenly.
Lately I’ve been trying a bunch of new beauty products, but one I always come back to is Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer–it works.
Tired of pale polish on my toes, I’ve decided to go red this summer. When I think of iconic, classic red polish, Chanel is it. So, I emailed Kara in CHANEL Beauté PR and asked her to share her picks for this post. The Le Vernis line was recently updated with a newly renovated formula (longer-lasting, high-shine), which makes me all the more eager to try these shades. Thanks, Kara!
Pirate, Rouge Essentiel, and Gitane.
Grace Coddington’s perfume launched at the end of April and I’m eager to try it. Grace teamed up with Comme des Garcons to develop the rose-scented fragrance and I’m sure it’s perfection.
