A few weeks ago, I went to an India Hicks meet-and-greet. Over cocktails, India introduced her eponymous collection of bags, scarves, jewelry, accessories, and fragrances. Animated and full of excitement for her new line, Ms. Hicks is her own best advertisement. I bought the English Rose perfume in a rollerball and absolutely love it—it’s perfect for traveling.

The best holiday accessory is a bright, white smile. I want to try Marvis toothpaste, partly because of the cool packaging.
I’m getting Invisalign today. My teeth have shifted since I had braces in grade school and I find that I don’t smile confidently anymore. A Christmas present to myself.
I’ve discovered Tom Ford lip products and I’m hooked—the best part is they don’t have that ‘lipstick’ taste.
For some reason, the spray version of Kevin Murphy’s Anti.Gravity is ten times better than the gel. I’m so happy that I tried it.
I’ve had a hankering for a rose-based scent. So, when I saw this ad for Byredo’s new perfume, Rose Of No Man’s Land, I popped into Barneys and picked up a bottle. It’s really lovely.
I may not wear much makeup, but when I do, I take it off before bed without fail. The Lashfood line has been on my must-try list—I’ll be sure to order the eye makeup remover along with the mascara.
I kept meaning to try Gradual Tan at the beginning of the summer, but as August wanes, this may be the perfect time to extend the little color I’ve allowed myself. I hear only good things about Aerin’s products and the packaging is beautiful, too.
I’ve had hair, and more specifically hair products, on my mind recently. One of my favorite mini outings is a trip to the pharmacy – not a big-box drugstore, but my local, somewhat old fashioned, apothecary-like, pharmacy. It carries the basics, and stocks a ton of high-end and European brands as well. When I feel like splurging (but not spending a fortune) I hit the pharmacy for a quick fix.
I love the look of towel-dried hair, but it never seems to work on me. This Bumble and bumble creme could be the ticket. Vogue has a story on how to get perfect beach hair and lists some good products, too.
Net-a-porter sent me their Summer Kit, which is packed with beauty products. My hair gets so dry from swimming, I cannot wait to try the Swimcap cream.
