Going Green

I was an early adopter of the Gucci slides, sans fur, and I wear them all the time. Now that the temps are finally falling, I’m reconsidering a furry pair. Green is beyond good.

The Gentlewoman

I always seem to find great sweaters on sale, perhaps because I’m a bit more flexible with sizing. A little too big/too small—who cares when it’s 50%-75% off! This DSQUARED2 cardigan would make my day.

Net-A-PORTER Ski Shop

Stars & Stripes

After I posted ‘Ski Trip’ last week, I reached out to NET-A-PORTER and offered to showcase some of the really cute Perfect Moment pieces in their new Ski Shop. I’m obsessed with this line—the striped jacket is just the right amount of retro, and the prices are good, too.

A Really Good Dress

This Céline dress has my name on it, I’d wear it forever. I’m so ready for Resort to hit the stores, and I’ve only just started wearing puffers and boots—go figure.

On The Hunt For

The Peasant Blouse

Admittedly, I am a bit late to the party on this one. My chicest friend Mary, whom I’ve asked to do a Spring Picks guest post, has been going on about the Atlantique Ascoli blouses (top left) for months, and by the time I tuned in, many were sold out. I started searching in earnest after seeing the fab puff-sleeved peasant-inspired tops in the phenomenal SS17 Jacquemus show (top right.) This would be a perfect fall tweak that would carry over into spring, and beyond.

Ascoli blouses here, here, and here.

The neutral palette is the star of this December Vogue Italia story. Her brows are good, too.

Céline Resort

Three Good Coats

The Céline Resort pictures were quietly released yesterday while the world was focused on politics. I’m not a fan of the entire collection, but these three coats are forever pieces.

Ski Trip

Actually, two ski trips—New England after Christmas and out West in the spring.  My ski pants need to be updated, stat.

Legging vs. Ski Pants

Booties have been a major story for the past few years. I love them with pants but, unless you are a twiglet, booties with a skirt can be tough to pull off.

So, for the first time in a long time, to-the-knee boots are on my list. I have my eye on this Céline pair—the shape of the heel makes them modern.

Skirt, boots, sweater, bag.

‘Minimal Impact: The Best of Resort’

Frankly, I’m ready for a new season of clothes—the crazy granny trend has run it’s course, and wasn’t even my thing to begin with. This upcoming WSJ. Magazine story is a breath of fresh air.
