The highly anticipated Calvin Klein show opened with this red, white, and blue look–Raf Simons’ nod to American style is the theme of his debut collection for the house. Denim, cowboy boots, and quilts look fresh through the Belgian designer’s lens. I recommend watching the live stream of the show.

At breakfast with the editor of the WSJ. Magazine, she mentioned that I would love this story- how right she was. Trenches, white shirts, loafers, etc.- these classic items never get old in my book. Please look at the the entire portfolio, it’s terrific. ’70s Lauren Hutton, perhaps?

We have been looking for a bag for my daughter for what feels like forever. She wants to be able to wear it both on her shoulder and cross body and it can’t be too boxy. When I was her age, I carried a Coach bucket in dark chocolate that I would still wear if I’d held on to it. Coach creative director Stuart Vevers has injected some much-needed energy into the soon-to-be 75-year-old brand. Yet, at the same time, I’m happy to see that the house reissued the classic saddle bag. The only problem is, which color?
Pink is certainly the color for spring and I’m a big fan of blush. But, I’ve spied a few items in baby blue that are equally pretty without being too sweet. They’d look amazing with jeans and a white shirt.
I’m inspired by the colors in the Sies Marjan SS17 collection (the sweater above) and will be adding more items from the line to the kic shop.
Bottega Veneta bag, M.I.H. jeans, Loewe bag, Common Projects sneakers, Sies Marjan sweater.
Valentine’s Day is not a big deal in our house, but every once in a while I’ll surprise my sweetie with a little something.
Buly hand cream, Mast Brothers chocolate, Concert tee, Creed cologne, Tod’s leather wrap.
Logo, printed, and concert T-shirts are all the rage and I have to wonder if my husband was at the forefront of this revival… I like them best when worn under a suit jacket as in the SS17 Dior show above.
Love, Bees, The Rolling Stones Lips, Elephants, Gucci. Etsy and eBay have tons of tees, too.
I am constantly stealing Save Khaki tees from my husband, so you can only imagine how happy I am that they’ve finally done a women’s line in collaboration with La Garconne–talk about a win-win! Plus, khakis are a major trend for spring and the ones in the top row are really good.
The Financial Times
I’ve been following the news about the upcoming launch of Marie-Amélie Sauvé’s Mastermind Magazine on Instagram and am happy that the Financial Times (well worth the subscription) sat down with the brand consultant and fashion director of T Magazine to get the scoop. Long a kic favorite for her personal style, I’m looking forward to seeing what Ms. Sauvé does with her own publication.

If you’re going to buy one thing for spring, you may want to consider a pair of statement earrings, and you can even mismatch your danglers. This is the jewelry trend right now and it’s only going to get bigger (no pun intended) as Spring merchandise hits the stores.

Peasant blouses are great, but I’ve been reaching for my classic white button-downs more often recently. They look sharp under a sweater or on their own with the cuffs rolled up.
I originally pulled this Peter Lindbergh image, which I cast for Vogue ages ago, because I’ve been talking to a lot of agents about the current models. There are many terrific models today and I hope we’ll see a shift to career longevity, which made me think of this group and that at least four of these women are still working.
