Four for Fall

four fall items

I should’ve posted a September to-do list by now, but I’m not there, yet. Instead, here are four items I’m thinking about for fall. Slouchy boots look fresh to my eye, a denim piece in an untraditional cut, Céline Alphabet Pendant, and maybe, a beautiful print (this dress is Léonard)—the print trend certainly has had staying power the past few seasons.

The Perfect Levi’s

Levi's 501 jeans

There are lots of jeans out there, but I’m determined to find the perfect pair of Levi’s—I’ll keep you posted.

The Boyfriend Sweater

Boyfriend sweaters

Alyson Walsh wore her boyfriend’s sweater in her “White Jeans Series” post pic. It looks amazing paired with frayed jeans and Gucci loafers—the perfect transition-into-fall outfit. I love the slouchy shape of these Acne Studios sweaters and they come in a number of lovely colors—no need to borrow from your man.

Light-grey, navylight-beige, light-blue, dusty-pink, and yellow. The corduroy trousers are Acne Studios, too.

Penchant for Pendants, cont.

It’s all in the mix and layering of lengths when it comes to pendants. Coins look particularly chic right now and I love wishbones, too.

Kendall Conrad has a cool Turtle Conservancy Medallion.

Coins, discs, lockets, initials, you name it—I love gold pendants. To be continued…

Agnes Baddoo in Dôen

Earlier this week I went to see Agnes Baddoo and her beautiful bags. Always perfectly turned out, Agnes looked effortlessly chic in a long Dôen dress. The Dôen Journal is worth perusing—I love the mix of women profiled.

Boot Camp

Boot camp

I have never seen so many different boot styles be “in” at the same time. Calvin Klein has the coolest cowboy boots (thank you Raf), Balenciaga makes a mean sock boot (either ankle or thigh high and here), Prada is still going strong with chic hiking boots, and Saint Laurent has not only the perfect leather over-the-knee boots, the SL slouchy, crystal-embellished pair are beyond.

Bubble Top

This M.i.h top is very cute and would transition nicely from late summer evenings to school drop off, which is, sadly, right around the corner.

The Downside of Being Sincere

I try many of the items I recommend before I post on them. The downside is that the items I like often sell out before I can endorse them. I’ve been searching for new sunglasses and love these by the cool Danish brand Ganni (good on a narrow face), however, when I went to post on them they were gone.
