SS18 Campaign

Saint Laurent

When Hedi Slimane left Saint Laurent my wardrobe took a hit and I wasn’t sure Anthony Vaccarello would offer the timeless pieces that I cherish. But, I think he will and I love the SS18 campaign images by David Sims.

Vogue Paris

A Bold & Masculine Ring

One of the best presents I have ever received was from my dear friend who had my signet ring reengraved. The initials had become faint over time so she took it to the Verdura engraver and brought my beloved ring back to life.

Dangly earrings have been all-the-rage, but a fistful of bold and masculine rings feels modern and right up my alley. Thank you December Vogue Paris for the inspo.

Special Luxury Issue

M Le magazine du Monde

M Le magazine du Monde enlisted Zoe Ghertner to photograph a number of my fave ’90s models—Amber Valletta, Tasha Tilberg, Georgina Grenville, Kirsten Owen, and Vivien Solari—for the cover of the special luxury issue, which is out today—I may have to scour the newsstands for a copy.

‘Bela Epoque’

Malgosia Bela looks sensational in this story from December InStyle—I love that she styled herself.

Still Waiting

Sales for me are like the fashion lottery—I feel like I’ve won if I find an item in my size that I’d wanted, but wasn’t willing to pay full price for. I snagged a pair of Chloé pumps at 50% off that firmly fit this criteria. However, there are a few things at Net-A-Porter that I’ve had on my FW17 wishlist, like these by Saint Laurent, that are not yet marked down—I’ll be disappointed if the cardigan sells out, but I don’t want to pay full price. Ugh.

Unconditional Love

As we head into the holiday season madness, I thought I’d post these beautiful pictures of Andreea Diddy from issue #6 of UnconditionalThink of it as a visual respite from the craziness to come.

Net-A-Porter Sale

Bought & Want

The Net-A-Porter FW17 sale has launched and there are tons of great items. Above are some of my favorite pieces that I bought in the early fall and below are three that I’ve had my eye on. Happy Hunting!

Top: Ganni sunglasses, Marc Jacobs skirt, Jerome Dreyfuss tote, Bottega Veneta sneaker. Bottom: Balmain shearling, Calvin Klein 205W39NYC sweater, JW Anderson fringe bootie.

Chloé, too, has been marked down.

In Memoriam

Azzedine Alaia

Azzedine Alaia died this morning in Paris—if you haven’t seen Joe McKenna’s film, please watch his homage to the beloved designer.

I stumbled upon fashion stylist Joe McKenna’s documentary on Tunisian-born French designer Azzedine Alaia on Instagram–it’s a must-see. The New York Times spoke with Joe about what inspired him to make the film.

On My Mind

Vintage Binge

Vintage and resale are “in” big time. From Amanda Ross’ fabulous YSL coat, my friend J.J. Martin’s online shop La Double J, unused Céline bags I’ve bought on Vestiaire Collective and TheRealReal, the newly opened REBAG store in Soho, which stocks a rainbow of Birkins and Chanel bags, to these cowboy boots (and a denim jumpsuit) that I just picked up at Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg—buying vintage and “past season” items is hotter than ever.

On The Hunt For

A Really Good Coat

For some reason, this Vanessa Seward wool tweed trench was not on my radar until I spied this pic on her Instagram feed and now it’s only available here.  Love the styling on Charlotte Gainsbourg in this story from Marfamily Issue 1—sometimes all you really need is a good coat and pumps.
