March 1, and I have zero commitments this month—whoop whoop! I closed out February by helping host an event for Belle Burden, author of Strangers. Belle was interviewed by the writer Kate Betts, and it was one of the best author talks I’ve attended. We had a packed house, and it went off without a hitch—a serious win-win. Strangers is a must-read, and Belle could not have been lovelier or more generous with her time. Inspired by all the black leather on the NY runways, I wore this Proenza Schouler skirt to the talk. I am trying not to wear so much grey, and this was a nice alternative.
I was eagerly awaiting Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut collection for Fendi. The blazer over a dress is my favorite look.
Grant Ginder’s So Old, So Young is excellent! I read it in two days.
I posted on the Augustinus Bader x Sofia Coppola Tinted Lip Balm when it first launched. It is great, and I’ve recently been wearing shade 3, a burnt plum—it’s more of a stain than a lipstick, which is ideal. I read about the La Pyae Apothecary fragrance Catch Me If I Fall on Puck and immediately ordered a full bottle—something I never do. It’s a tad more floral than I expected, but I love it nonetheless.
And it is spring with a capital S in Paris. I am on the hunt for a crossbody bag to wear under a jacket and the Hermès Sac Petite Course has my name on it.

I’m intrigued by that perfume brand, I’ve never heard of it.
Have I been out of fashion for so long that I didn’t realize Fendi doesn’t really show fur anymore on the runway?
Belle’s talk was incredible and Kate Betts was the perfect interviewer. Best author talk I’ve ever attended. I too loved So Old, So Young, just devoured it. Can’t wait to smell Catch Me if I Fall, and the Sac Petite Course is perfect for running around and travel.

Unfortunately since this was a private event the talk was not recorded. But Belle has done a number of speaking engagements that you can watch online.
What an amazing author talk – Belle Burden was phenomenal! I cannot wait for the film adaptation! …tinted lip balms work so well I’m going to give shade 3 a try …and I need that leather skirt you always look effortlessly chic Preston !
I am curious about the fragrance, but hesitate purchasing before trying. I received an email from Kathleen the founder of La Pyae. A sample of the fragrance is included with a full size purchase. Their return policy allows a full refund with return of an unopened bottle. For those in NYC, the fragrance is sold in the spa at Hotel Chelsea in a small shop, right at the top of the hotel. Just in case you’d like to try it in person.
