A New Bag
I had a few minutes between an alterations appointment and a lunch lecture yesterday so I did a quick pass through Bergdorf’s handbag and shoe floors. For the first time in ages, I have nothing on my wish list so I figured it would be a harmless expedition. Sometimes I don’t realize I need something until I see it and that was the case yesterday. I own large hobos, clutches, and structured purses, but a supple tuck-under-my-arm shoulder bag would be great for everyday running around. As I passed this Celine Romy sitting on a display cube, it was like a puppy in the window — I couldn’t resist.

I kept my crescent shape Prada from10 years ago. Lightweight and practical to tuck under your arm and go ~ now that wallets have been replaced with slim card holders ~ no wonder it was reintroduced this season. But no comparison as my original is trimmed with leather and chunky hardware.
And I find Prada bags last forever…thankfully:)
To be honest, I haven’t checked out Celine since Hedi Slimane took over. I love this timeless bag and it will treat you well for years to come. Marcheline Isabelle

Hah! My dachshund is soooo fat and has outlived the upper end of the breed’s life expectancy with no signs of slowing…

As an aside, I am currently wearing the twisted hoop earrings you featured in the previous post and I can tell I’ll be wearing them all winter. I even slept in them and they’re so comfortable. Love X

P – Just some luxe basics since my new permanent duty station is home but I ordered a new navy Khaite v neck sweater, 2 Prada v neck sweaters in gray and navy, a Sacai puffer in black, a diamond pendant from my favorite local jeweler, Shah and Shah and a the Row Margaux. Oh and I am still trying to secure the beige Hermès clogs. BTW, I love those socks you posted. I’m ordering them now. – T
The Gucci is a beautiful bag and definitely an investment piece but, oooh…that Celine bag! J’adore!
