NET-A-PORTER: How To Wear Straight-Leg Jeans
I’m a diehard skinny, bootcut jeans fan. So, when I started looking for a straight-leg pair this NET-A-PORTER style guide, with Elin Kling and Catherine Holstein weighing in, was tremendously helpful. I bought three pairs — a dark wash by Frame, these by Totême above, and a wider-leg pair by Khaite — I love them all.

I’ve wore that style of Frame jeans for several years. The inseam is 27” which is perfect for shorter women. I’m 5’3”.
AG Prima jeans are another nice option, particularly as an alternative to skinny jeans. The Prima cut is slim through the hips, like the Porter piece suggests, but it avoids tapering down into an ankle hug. When I need a fall run-around outfit, these jeans ground a sweater or little jacket quite easily.
This is so timely! I’ve gradually leaned into straighter/wider leg denims and suddenly I’m hooked!
The AG Prima comes in more than one cut. I meant the cigarette cut!
I’ve been a convert for a while now and realized I had no skinnies left so found a pair by Mother. My straight leg go to’s are from Agolde, Goldsign and Frame. Also, not all mine are long, more often than not I like right at the ankle, works for me.
