I love all of your posts about staying stylish through all of the seasons and weathers, whether it be rain or shine, wind or heat. Thank especially appreciate your posts on winter fashion that is chic but still warm and wearable. Like Swan and Paula, I am still looking for that magic boot that can handle an ugly cold NYC day when I have to walk on 5th Ave or East 90th street but still look polished. Knee high boots seem quite chic but it’s hard to find boots that look classic but can handle the tough winters of the city. I would love to hear your thoughts on what boots you would recommend.
Hello Preston! I love the look of the over-the-knee boot; but so afraid I will look silly and that I have aged out of this look. HOw would you suggest wearing the black over-the-knee boot in an elegant 50-plus way that doesn’t look like I am trying too hard?? I would be happy just wearing those long socks around the house!!
I wear over-the-knee boots over skinny jeans or with a skirt that is longer than the top of the boot.
