Going Short(er)
To-the-knee has been my preferred skirt length for ages. Midi and, definitely, maxi overwhelm me, and a mini skirt seemed only suitable in the summer. But, I couldn’t resist trying the Celine cashmere skirt. The hem is coming down an inch, and I will wear sheer black hosiery as styled in the T Magazine story left. It will be shorter than my usual skirt length, but not quite a mini.
Skirt runs extremely small

Love the look! What is your go to hosiery ?
Falke and Wolford
Looking fabulous Preston !
Go, Preston!
Still like the at knee or bend in the knee….not all have been blessed with great looking ones even with hosiery. Also age has something to do with it.
You look terrific, Preston. As does that skirt.
love it! xx
I would be open to trying a short skirt, but with tights. Being short, I think I could carry it off. Funny, I love the midi skirts on others, and wore them in the 70s all the time. But, I feel ridiculous wearing them now. Like I am wearing a dowdy costume from another era. I assume my lack of height and reluctance to wear a heel tall enough to visually lengthen the silhouette is part of the problem.
This makes me want to play with skirt lengths! What a great skirt. The idea of tights helps, too, as we head toward cooler weather here.
Bonjour,
i am writting from Europe, i would like to ask if you have the information where can i find the Kendall ‘s Conrad leather cuff. Because for some reason the online shop gives me the answer “page don’t found”.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Maria.
Sadly, Kendall shuttered her business.
Dear Preston,
I so look forward to your posts—it my unwind time from a hectic working schedule
I have been searching for the post regarding the Mother’s Day tote bag you wanted form your girls. (It was an ever-so- effortlessly market tote)
With warmest wishes sent your way.
Christina
(I’d also love your advice about a fashionable outfit to wear for an “ informal, yet chic ensemble” for a Town Hall Meeting.
It’s in October and I’m thinking I’ll wear a Max Mara cream over-sliced blazer with Roger Viviier or Dior sling backs. Would love your advice.
Warmly,
Christina .
Hi Christina,
The Market Tote is by Agnes Baddoo– it’s large and holds a lot.
