Hermès SS25
There are many drool-worthy pieces in the Hermès SS25 collection, especially the flat boots. They will be delivered mid-March, which will give me six weeks of wear before I store them for summer. I’m good with that.

I didn’t zero in on the accessories, which is what Hermes used to be known for. But among the ready-to-wear looks, exactly one caught my eye – Look 15 (a one piece jumpsuit, also done in fuchsia?). How many seasons are we into now with the sheer skirt-over-boy-shorts-and-bras trend? For a House with equestrian/country heritage, this show comes off as a brand at loose ends. No doubt the boots feel and smell incredible. Increasingly, I’m losing interest in luxury brands, especially learning that many houses don’t pay their labor (i.e., craftsmen and women) commensurate with the price tags. Dior, who I have been so impressed with in recent years, just released a preposterous collection. Unless something changes, it’s just all becoming a farce.
The chocolate brown Picotin is also fabulous!
I am stumped by the sheer mesh and bare midriffs, too. A strange direction for Hermes, especially since sheer is uber trendy and feels very ‘last season.’ But the accessories are beautiful and worth noting.
I love the Picotin so much. It’s on my “forever” wish list. I would be interested to hear how much wear it gets from any of your readers that own it.
