I 🖤 Skirts
I always think I need more dresses and non-jeans pants, but the truth is I rarely wear either. When getting “dressed” I always opt for a skirt and I am resolved to lean into this choice. Street style inspiration images, like the top two, are saved to my desktop, I will buy a second of a favorite midi-length and make it shorter like the one lower left, and I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot when I find a skirt that I’ve been eyeing on sale lower right. I, also, love skirts because they are easy to alter.

We who are short are challenged with the length of everything! I alter all “bottoms” including those in petite sizes.
Conversely, I never wore skirts (though your two inspiration images are divine). They almost invariably require a cropped or tucked-in top which, combined with a mid- to high-rise waist, over-emphasize my bust. But this season I tried on a chocolate brown TWP trouser skirt with pleats, pockets and a high rear slit and VOILA: a skirt with the ease of trousers. I’ve been wearing it non-stop. Turns out you just need to find the right version of something to make it work for you. As always, thanks for the inspiration.

I am retired and rarely wear anything but jeans or yoga pants…haven’t work a skirt for many years. But…I used to love them, and I am drawn to the two grey skirts you feature here. So attractive and versatile!
I love longer skirts for travel. With a pair of comfortable flat boots I can go from day touring to a nice restaurant for dinner. But only longer ones–I’m way past the age for minis!
