On My Inspiration Board
I’ve already emailed Chanel a request for an evening cape from the Cruise 2021/22 collection (she thinks I’m nuts, but hey). The chain belt is so good dressed up or down. This Cartier image is from my new favorite Instagram feed @marchelineisabelle, and I’m following her recently launched eponymous blog, Marcheline Isabelle, too. And my friend Gigi sent me the image lower left, it’s her summer evening inspiration — chic.

Flattered that you posted that pic I sent. It is what I wore yesterday to a bday lunch in NYC at a friend’s apartment. I added a ribbed tank top under my The Row off-white jacket for a more daytime version of what you see in the photo. I accessorized with a watch, a chain bracelet and a beautiful and sentimental bangle of my mother’s- all in gold. Happy Mother’s Day, dear Preston! See you very soon. X
Btw the shoes yesterday were 2 tone (beige and blk) Chanel sling backs — cool and comfy

The cape is lovely, good eye in spotting, as it’s a little obscured in the photo. It will be stunning with a variety of ‘under’ garments and perfect for casual to dress needs.

Gigi, I cannot wait to recreate that chic outfit next time I leave the house. I’ve been on the hunt for the flat Chanel slingbacks in all black but am having trouble finding size 35.
