Circling Back
Circling back to two posts: The Biologique Recherche products are worth the commitment and I’m dutifully doing all the steps twice daily — so far, so good. Socks are my current obsession. I wear them in lieu of booties and alternate them with tights (or wear them with tights).

Socks with Chloe loafers?…….You are so cool. I love your inspirations.
LOVE the socks Preston!
So impressively cool. It’s a look you wear well!
Not sure I could pull of that look as well as you. I am a little obsessed with socks, too.
The socks look darling! I love Biologique…I’ve been using for a couple years now and it truly has transformed my skin for the better!
biologique recherche changed my skin!!! it took me a while to find the products that work for me. Consistency and commitment are key and I hope you love them as much as I do
Beyond adorable, brings a big smile to my face. How’d you figure out which of the products to use in your skincare routine?
Had a facial at a spa that only uses the products. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have tried them. And, I’m shocked that I haven’t gotten a negative comment on the socks — oh, happy day!
Who would dare say anything negative about those gams! Not to mention the shoes ❤️ Seriously, you got me onto Johnston and Elgin socks years ago and I haven’t looked back. So glad you like the skincare and it’s working for you.
Your comment convinced me to try Biologique Recherche. I’m such a skincare rube, I was grateful for your stamp of approval. And, after years of hunting for the Chloe pumps in beige (why I didn’t buy them when I bought the grey ones 5 years ago is a mystery) I found a brand new pair that are 1/2 a size big. So socks will be a must.
I love the socks. I wish I had purchased those shoes in 2017.
Now I have to hunt for those damn shoes! Love
socks are great. not sure the look is good for a dress at our age? Am I wrong, I always question my look at age 57. I do have thin, nice legs – hmm.
You can pull that off with a skirt. I would only try that with pants!
Socks! Now you’re talking! You’ve styled it brilliantly.
I have been a super fan for a decade. More of a socks and pants woman, but if I can find a nice sock and sturdy flat combination, I might give skirt a spin. (Heels are a bridge too far for my knees)
When things settle down, try Diana at Rescue Spa at NYC, or go to Biologique Recherche place in Paris – you’ll never want to try anything else!
Masque Vernix is the greatest hydrating mask ever, full stop. Welcome to the dangerously addicted club.
I used Biologique many years ago but I decided to go for a cruelty free skincare (many home made btw). Although I am not a vegan or even vegetarian, trying to avoid everything what is being tested or sourced from animals on my skin and although I wear a mink fur I don’t want to use mink oil on my skin.
Biologique Recherche is against animal testing in all forms. All of the brand’s formulations, ingredients, and products are cruelty free.
Nina, perhaps for US market, surely not European. They have (or at least had) still 2 years ago one if the products with mink oil. How do you think, what the mink oil is? Joanna Czech was praising it some time ago as well, recommending it especially for dry skin.
Btw, there are more companies having double standards. It’s easy to check, if they sell on Chinese market it means the products were tested on animals since China doesn’t accept not tested products.
Preston, you look fantastic. I don’t think that look would work with more muscular legs though? I am trying to find a way to incorporate socks. I see a lot of young people wearing them just over try top of their boots. My young daughter looks adorable with them scrunched and flat soled tennis shoes.
I’m rambling, but I think you look great and I think with thin legs you can wear this well! It’s the more muscular legs like mine that would be a challenge…
