  • I am partial to an all-black outfit with gold accents. And Alexandra does a nice casual version!

  • What RM said. Love an all black outfit for the summer – don’t love it mixed with anything else? And gold jewelry always.

  • The looks above are crisp and nicely tailored, looking so functional. For ‘summer in the city’ I love a black shirt dress and neat straw bag.

  • She is stunning. I just went down a two hour rabbit hole of her instagram. Inspiration! I searched everywhere but can find no details on the gorgeous necklace she is wearing. Any ideas, anyone? Ray Griffiths?

  • I ran the pic of Alexandra in 2018 and the necklace is Aurelie Bidermann.

  • I love this look too! They say dark colors absorb the heat and will make you feel hotter. But, how can something that looks so cool be bad for you??? 🙂

  • Currently wearing all black.

  • 100 percent YES! The perfect way to show off my summer tan is anything black. I have cheated though…I found a $20 black spaghetti strap linen and rayon sundress at target and got several that I wash and toss in the dryer. A quick hot iron and add flip flops, sans bra…our secret. Having the best summer ever 😉

  • Since we’re sharing ATR, many of my everyday summer staples are from Brandy Melville. As a mother of boys you may not know the brand. I live in their thermal skirts and tops…

  • I was introduced by a dear friend on Nantucket to a brand called CALI by Cali Dreaming. I have very much enjoyed their easy black dresses and tops this summer. Women owned and designed in Venice. Made in LA. All good things!

  • Love the black clothes for summer! I especially love the black peasant dress with the lace inserts. I too have a 20$ Black cotton dress purchased a number of years ago from Target. I wear it with black Chanel flats and gold Chanel earrings and a straw bag.

  • Funny- I also have a favorite $20 black Target dress from a few years ago. I suspect everyone has a few el cheapo items that have gone from quick purchase to summer staple.

  • I purchased 3 new black pieces this summer…black linen dress from Together Segal (small brand in Texas), a short sleeved black linen shirt from Jenni Kayne and a long sleeved tunic with drawstring waist from Eileen Fisher. All will be worn for years to come!

  • I too bought that Target sundress in black and white. It is fabulous—cut, fit, touch of fabric AND it has pockets.

  • Thank you Preston, for the necklace ID.
