A ’70s Inspired Shearling

This Nili Lotan shearling jacket transports me back to beautiful fall days at boarding school in New England. The leather trim and covered buttons make it swoon-worthy. I recently bought the two black leather jackets below, but this shearling is pretty terrific and serves a different purpose. To be continued.

:
  • On holidays and trying desperately not to think about fall but that jacket is perfection. Colour, length, amount of trim. Love.

  • I still have my shearling from 1980 and I have to say it’s still pretty perfect! But I love the Nilli one too!

  • I love the photo but bought a Nili Lotan shearling jacket on sale last winter and wasn’t happy with the quality – pretty rough. And it was final sale….

  • I’m sweltering here in Dallas and only WISH that I could be wearing that soon! It is perfect.

  • Preston, how do you decide which black bag to carry the Gucci Horsebit 1955 vs the YSL in the above photo? I love both! and I am in need of a good bag to carry when visiting the city.

  • The SL is a small (essentials only) dedicated crossbody bag. I only wear the Gucci on my shoulder because when the strap is extended the snaps tear out my hair. It’s, also, larger than the SL so I like it tucked under my arm.

  • The shearling jacket is very cute. I have 3 that are au courant so I cannot justify another one…alas!

  • I love them all! But if you ever want to unload the Gucci one I’ll be ready.
