Marfa Stance
Marfa Stance, a line of multi-functional and seasonless pieces designed to work together, had been on my radar. I was intrigued by the different components and how they can be interchanged to build multiple looks. When I was invited to a pop-up week before last, I jumped at the chance to meet the founder and designer Georgia Dant and see her line. Quilting is Georgia’s signature design element and I love it on the back of this trench. I, also, bought the cashmere hood to attach in the winter and NET-A-PORTER carries Marfa Stance and that’s where I found the perfect matching liner (bottom right).
What size did you take in the trench please?

Earlier this year we took a trip to the arctic in Finland to see the Northern Lights. I bought a Marfa Stance coat and several collars and a vest to prepare for the frigid temps. I was so pleased with how I could mix and match as the activities and the conditions changed. I’m also a big fan of the line and Georgia’s business ethos.
Hi Preston,
This is off-topic, but did you ever do a post on the clothing you brought to Paris? I’m planning some short city trips and need inspiration as to what to pack. Thanks!
Hi Monica, I wear the same things in Paris that I wear in NYC — so no packing list to speak of. I look at the weather and pack accordingly.
I should have included the fact that I live in Miami! What I wear day to day down here doesn’t translate up north
I’ve been intrigued by this line and would love to hear how the pieces wear (and how you wear them!) Thanks for featuring.
