Deerware

For the next month I allow myself to get a bit twee, it is the holidays after all. I have a thing for plates decorated with deer and have coined it deerware. I brought the red pieces out this morning and have my eye on a few in green, too.

Gmunder is a fantastic line! Their ‘Green Swirl’ plates and ‘Hot Chocolates’ come out every December and are always set up in the butler pantry with Christmas treats! The plates and cups are nicely oversized – good for buffets – and the shapes of the pitchers and serving pieces are distinctly Austrian. I just adore all things Tyrol!
