My Personal Style Reminder
As my inbox gets bombarded with markdown emails, I keep this collage on my desktop to remind myself of the clothes that I’ve been wearing a lot this fall — I don’t want to fall prey to a ‘really good deal’ that will sit in my closet. Brown, pleated skirts, and classic wool coats have been my focus. However, if I spy a fun item on sale that I’ve had my eye on (zebra, pale yellow, Commission sequined skirt, etc.), I will have won the fashion lottery.
:
It’s on sale today! But you probably already know that.
Whose loafers are those do you think? Love the color! They look like old Bass Weejuns I had in college.
I took my old Bass Weejuns Kiltie loafer with the horse bit to a cobbler who resoled and polished them. They look new again!g
Do you know who makes the toggle coat??
That image of the corduroy jacket and leather pants is going on my inspiration board…the perfect brown, the ring, everything. Did you get the skirt? I’m having a bit of a shopping hangover after my trip and happy to wear what I own.
The Commission skirt? Yes and it has a teeny tiny waist – not good right after Thanksgiving….
Jen, from the photo, the loafers look to be cordovan, which (I think) is its own type of leather (?), not just a dye.
The toggle coat is Massimo Dutti.
These photos have beautiful textures: the fold on a leather purse or pant, corduroy wale, a wide gold ring, wool. I love the way that tonal fall dressing is so tactile.
I love that dark brown cord jacket. Scooping it up from Nili Lotan to wear with my leather pants.
This is such a smart thing to do. Random sale purchases are such a waste if it’s not something that fits your style.
Is that great coat navy?
who makes the loafers? love them
Preston any idea who makes socks like those? They are just the right length for the new clunky loafers out. Thanks
