Loden, Khaki, & Army Green for Spring
These three jackets are on my spring inspiration board. The double-face cashmere Celine jacket top left is sublime, and the shape suits me. But, the super popular Toteme Scarf Jacket and the Celine twill Sahara jacket are certainly contenders.

As much as I love olive as it is a color that suits me well, I never quite know what else to pair it with to keep it from looking so, well, drab. Any recommendations?
Blue, grey, and white jeans is my two cents
Although I love an Isadora scarf fling as much as anyone Iām not sure about the longevity of the Toteme compared to the other two. The top Celine is such a good shape.
I am a big fan of this color. While I don’t love bright colors for me-pink, purple and orange really pop next to this color.
All gorgeous options, but I am partial to the Toteme! Olive is such a sophisticated color. To Cat’s question, and add to Karen’s suggestions, shades of red will also work beautifully with olive.
Ooh la la! I am hoping to try your 5 significant purchases idea but…I bought the Dior double breasted Bar and now the cashmere Celine looks amazing. This is going to harder than anticipated.
I also want to mention this great Ann Mashburn M65 jacket, which I bought in olive last year and wore today (rainy day in NYC) This jacket is almost perfect (a hood would make it perfect). My friend Terri, a reader of this site, introduced me to Ann Mashburn and KIC years ago. The jacket now only seems to be available in leopard print but hopefully they will bring back the olive.

I personally love an olive jacket as I find the color very versatile-great with jeans, khaki colored pants, brown, grey, etc. My opinion is that the Toteme jacket, while lovely, is not as versatile as the other two, and with the scarf it seems a bit more wintery. Clearly a double face cashmere jacket will be much warmer than twill-it all depends on what temperatures you envision wearing it in. The safari jacket reminds me of a vintage YSL. Both are beautiful!
These are beautiful, are there any you like or recommend at a lower price point? Your taste is perfect!
Best,
Grace
Thank you for this reminder about a color I have neglected lately! Personally, I find olive as timeless as grey and navy. Barbour wax jackets are the original olive field-to-city jackets, and everyone needs one hanging in the garage. The Celine is my favorite of this group – checks the box for sensible jackets and incredibly chic. The silhouette reminds me of Loro Piana’s Traveler Jacket, which I power wear. Bought it in blue in 2021 and loved/wore it so much that I bought a second (caramel brown) this past fall. Back to olive – in addition to all of the colors mentioned above, it’s so good with orange (Hermes often combines these colors), any shade pink, soft blue, crisp white tee shirts, and black + olive is perfect for the city. My daughter found an olive quilted bomber jacket at Madewell during college; she still wears it 10+ years later! She wears it with jeans, aviators, and a ponytail. I would pair this Celine with black sunglasses, white jeans, and a brown sandal.
