More Prada, Please!
I was running out the door when I posted yesterday, so last night I took a good look at the Prada FW23 collection images. I’ve never met a crewneck sweater I didn’t love and to quote Vogue’s Nicole Phelps “the pants are apt to make women who’ve embraced the full-leg shape on so many other runways seriously rethink their closets.” Hear, hear!
As per usual, the best look of all was on Mrs. Prada herself ♥️

Thank heaven for the return to simplicity and Elegance LOVE
It sure did make me notice the pants legs!!! Loved the show and the skirts are a lust!
The brown blazer was the star of the show for me
I miss the old Prada with the pretty prints! Almost everything looks like sportswear to me now, especially with the use of the technical fabric:(
For me, a slim, trim, ankle-baring neutral pant, preferably in a wool + stretch, is impossible to improve upon. Since I expressed disinterest in the Khaite show, I feel compelled to compare the looks here. Where the Khaite long looks were dramatic and made for a great fashion show, it is these types of pieces that it seems are more in tune with active, modern women spanning age 30 – 80. I can’t wear the high heel, but I’ll be wearing this pant silhouette with my kitten heels, loafers, and flat ankle boots, with crew necks, turtlenecks, blouses, wool coats, and swell jackets, belted or not. Add gloves and bag.
She’s baaaaaaaack! The uniform for fall, Grazie Miuccia.
Like Paula, I love a good cigarette pant. The pants as well as the slim skirts with sweaters were the best part of the show. I hope that fitted and tailored ladylike clothing ( but not prim) is coming back.
I just bought full leg trousers for the southern hemisphere winter ! I thought my slim leg ones looked dated. I’m glad I didn’t get rid of them.
The origami flats are on my wishlist. I love that this collection gives a nod to Miuccia’s style of slouchy crewneck sweaters with a showstopper skirt/ankle pant and shoe. I have screenshots of so many of her runway bows wearing those looks over the years.
The Prada Show? Love, love, love.
Love everything about it. The pants, the sweaters, the shoes, white, gray, brown….Italian perfection: superb materials, cuts,
luxe simplicity with a twist. Modern. Now.
