Sophie Theallet’s Room 502

I’ve often wondered what happened to the phenomenally talented French designer Sophie Theallet, the ’90s Azzedine Alaïa alum who shuttered her namesake label in 2018. My question was answered when I ran into my dear friend Adrienne wearing the perfect shirtdress by Room 502 , the DTC line Sophie launched from Canada in 2021. I went up a size and it fits perfectly. The dress is with my tailor being shortened and the buttons swapped to black. Thanks, Adrienne!

What a beautiful dress—and it has pockets! I am about to return a different shirt dress that feels great in this warmer weather, but visually swallows me up. This looks like a better option.
