Hermès SS24 Sandals
I love the sandals that came down the Hermès runway earlier today. The rubber sole is practical and reasonably good-looking.

Personally, I’m not keen on rubber soles. They don’t breathe and rubber isn’t exactly environment/planet friendly. Great color and design though!
Loved this show, start to finish! Might be my fav of the season.
Since the sandals were featured throughout the show, I became more curious about rubber. Unless it’s natural rubber, produced from the exudations of rubber trees, farmed on small plots by families across the tropical world (South America, Africa), it’s synthetic rubber, which is synthesized from petroleum and natural gas. No petroleum, no rubber.
Love these sandals! I don’t mind the rubber sole at all. When should I be on the lookout to purchase them so I don’t completely miss out like I did with the clogs I so desperately wanted?
Love the straps and the practical soles. Favourite part of the show was that beautiful mulberry colour starting around look 12. And the coats.
I don’t mind the rubber sole on the bottom, in fact I like the look of it, but I want leather lining where my foot touches it.
My comment might be misleading – I love the design and colors, especially the red. My sole concern would be comfort (forgive the pun). Given how preachy the fashion press is about environmental issues, it will be interesting to see if they have a problem with Hermes offering gorgeous shoes made from a petroleum-based product. :-).
Love the sandals. What bugs me is that my local store never gets this stuff and you have to repetitively go on the website to see if they become available in your size or if at all. It also sells out so quickly.
