To Give & Receive
Here are a number of my favorite holiday gifts for friends: Hermés Lip Balm, an indie fashion magazine, maple syrup, Diptyque La Droguerie candle, silver spoons from my drawerful that my daughters do not want, a festive Richard Ginori x Cabana plate with gingerbread tile cookies, and an olive tree from Orangerie.

I understand that young people today don’t want to polish silver but you can safely wash silver in the dishwasher as long as there are not other metals in the same load. And if the silver is in daily use, it won’t tarnish.
I always look forward to your tried and true gift recommendations. Maple syrup – so chic, yet so practical. How do you gift wrap? These pieces are beautiful enough on their own and only need a ribbon and a gift tag. Marcheline Isabelle
Darn it, these are all things that I’ll buy with the intent to give but…. Will keep!
Ever the chic gift giver. These are wonderful ideas.
I love a good silver spoon. ..truly functional luxury. I am always on the hunt for more.
I would add a customized tote from Apolis. I’ve given them for years and they always seem to please.
The Hermes lip balm is the *best* little indulgence and has been my go-to gift for a year now!
The Rustic Bakery cookies and crackers are so good. They make the perfect hostess gift.
Silver flatware is such a terrific idea! Antique/vintage serving pieces – like a stuffing spoon or a meat fork – are chic and unexpected on the table and very practical year round for everything from charcuterie boards to baked beans on the Fourth of July.
I love using my Nana’s silver pieces at holidays and special occasions but SLF is right, I should bring them out more. Those plates are gorgeous and all these ideas are fantastic, can’t wait to receive the biscuits.
