This & That From NYFW
The Carolina Herrera cape and bag are so chic, just wish I could wear them this spring and not have to wait until the FW24 collections are in stores late summer. And, the belted Bottega Veneta tunic and Frame jeans on the NYFW showgoer below get 5 stars.

Preston and other readers: how would you style the cape? Just curious as I ordered a Prada wool cape and unsure how to wear it.
Love both and will buy versions of both!
These pictures (especially the tunic) and the Prada outfits in Vogue are exactly how I want to dress now. Simple and elegant. Thank you for the inspiration.
Ramya Giangola is so stylish. And I love a good cape.
Love the cape but I agree that it would be so great to see it in colors more suited to spring! I would love to see a pink peony color, sky blue or a soft daffodil yellow. A matching skirt peeking out from the cape would also be wonderful.
That second shot of the tunic is gorgeous.
To Jean, I would use the A line shape as the deciding factor as to how to style, not the fact that it’s a cape. So if pants, would wear something with a slight flare and definitely to the top of the shoe. Jeans I would follow the shape in the second photo and for skirt I’d go short with knee high boots. Experiment and enjoy!
Perfect styling advice SueM!!!
Preston I was wondering if you could share Samira Nasr’s newsletter advice regarding Sofia Coppola’s recommendations to her. I subscribed too late to the newsletter and missed the recommendations but just adore Sofia’s style.
I like wearing my capes over large sleeved tops!
Thank you SueM for the advice! I have been experimenting and the cape looks great with flared pants- the silhouette is oversized yet still tailored.
MMS, in complete agreement that capes are perfect for tops with voluminous shoulders and sleeves!
