Grey & Brown
My dearest friend loathes that I wear so much black, grey, and brown, and she especially disliked my last post. So, I thought I would share one of my current favorite grey and brown outfits in hopes that she’ll agree that it’s a good combo, even if she wouldn’t choose to wear it herself. Helen, this is for you!
Skirt and shoes from previous posts.

I happen to love brown and grey together. I find it a softer color combo than the more formal grey and black; more country lady than urban dweller. However, as the temperatures in my area are now reaching the 40s and 50s, I find myself with my usual spring fever, thinking of Easter eggs with the delicious raspberry, turquoise and purple dyes or tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. Around Valentine’s day, I craved pink and purple and now it’s peach. So I’m wearing a lovely vintage peach wool coat with large gold and grey mother of pearl buttons. Then soon I can wear my new Todd’s grass green drivers, along with turquoise and gold jewelry. Maybe I need a trip to Palm Beach to escape the final dregs of winter!
As someone who only wore Navy, Black white and Tan then swung to the extreme opposite living in the colored spectrum occasionally wearing navy… Grey, Brown and Navy are a nice neutral and alternative to Black. Personally I love Grey and Navy, Navy with brown and Lately Grey with Brown. I also bought this skirt and love it.
Love it. You look great!
Better!
I like the colours but I LOVE the proportions and esp THOSE SHOES!
love your hair! the LOB is cute.
Your outfit is sublime!
I love grey and brown, also navy, black and pretty much anything neutral.
Currently favouring Wolford Merino tights in grey and brown worn with loafers and ankle skimming bootcuts.
Living in Scotland these colours suit me and when summer does appear I just put in some white to the mix!
You look fabulous! I love it! And- it looks so wearable and effortless- like you are comfortable- which I also love.
I love grey and brown, especially in differing textures. White looks so good with them, as does yellow. Those shoes are gorgeous on you!
This look is so chic! However, once there’s a hint of spring in the air, I much prefer navy and a pop of color.
Love the shoes…so flattering!
I’m into it!
Whole outfit is elegant and looks “just right” on you. Taste varies, but I think your friend would agree.
It is a blessing to have friends full of honesty and individuality. They nudge us further into being our true selves. I am sure Helen will agree that you look smashing in that combo.
Gail c., I couldn’t agree more! xp
I love the look above for now but as the days get brighter and longer, I prefer to add whites, beige, camel and color!
