On My Radar

Bits & Bobs

March 1! We head back to Paris soon, so a trip to LA to see Helmut Lang: What Remains Behind at the MAK Center will have to wait. Same with Cecily Brown: Themes and Variations at the Barnes Foundation. I am in Philadelphia Monday for the PHS Flower Show, however the Cecily Brown exhibition does not open until March 9. Book clubs are chicer than ever and both Air Mail and New York Magazine ran articles on their exploding popularity, especially with younger women. I am in three book groups, and in one we only read short stories. Next in my queue is Show Don’t Tell, a collection of stories by Curtis Sittenfeld. As a boarding school alum, Sittenfeld’s Prep is an all-time favorite. Finally, a grey and brown outfit snippet on a Milan FW25 show week attendee, and my tan suede Belgian Shoes are going into rotation.

  • I am also looking forward to reading Show Don’t Tell.

    This may be of interest.

  • I am also a fan of Curtis Sittenfeld, the short story collections being my favorite. There is a real talent in writing good short stories.

  • Hi! Any idea who makes the leather fringe skirt? I have been on the hunt for a fringe miniskirt.

  • @Amy Looks like Prada though I am not 100 % sure

  • My eye instantly gravitated to the top four photos being aesthetically complimentary of one another. They all seem to incorporate the muted browns and blues. Intentional or not, I love it.
I’ve abandoned far too many books lately, nothing is drawing me in. I grabbed Show Don’t Tell and it’s exactly what I needed at the moment. Short stories to devour before bed!

  • I loved Curtis Sittenfeld’s You Think it I’ll Say it because it deftly explores the nuance and uncertainly in human relationships. Every story in the collection is a worth a read. I’m excited to get my hands on Show, Don’t Tell!
