I love python-always have. Python is an invasive species in Florida so there is no need to have any qualms about wearing the real thing. I find that the leather holds up very well. I also love colored and metallic python for accessories and shoes.
I feel the same way about Crocodile/alligator and lizard too.

This is a great article and your contribution and guidance is spot on! For me, I would choose an alligator accessory over snakeskin – a neat classic pump or a small clutch. A well known decorator showed up at an Antiques Show years ago carrying an enormous Birkin in alligator. It felt a little too real. As you said, a little goes a long way.
