Craving Corduroy

I love a good corduroy skirt and have a number of them that I wear year-round. However, for the first time in a long time, I am exploring corduroy pants. The challenge is how to wear them without looking like I’m back in boarding school. Fortunately, there are plenty to choose from this fall.

On model navy Toteme, ecru Bottega, dark brown and black The Row

  • agree with Lorraine. I still check in daily but a highlight when we see a new post. I finished the David Sedaris book you referenced a few posts ago – great as audio book. Laughed out loud a lot! Great when you are in the mood for something light.

  • I love corduroy, although it’s not useful for our climate. I especially love the dark brown pair and the BV (because I love being able to see the texture) and it’s a great color. You can definitely pull it off!

  • I love corduroys, especially in the beautiful dark chocolate brown. Some years ago, I bought a pair from Brunello Cuccinelli. They are the first thing I reach for on chilly fall days. Unlike denims however, I don’t think they are as adaptable for evening looks. Corduroy is, after all, a very ‘country’ fabric. When you posted on The Row car coats, I got scrolling and ran across these. But unfortunately, my size was already gone. (Fyi ~ The Row has a car coat in corduroy as well!). With a crisp white shirt (over a Hanro cotton cami) and a suede loafer, perfect for cooking on Thanksgiving Day! Thank you, Preston, for continuing with your posts and dedication to beautifying everyday life. xo!

  • …very much hoping you get the corduroy coat! It’s such an original piece. The Row just nails it!
