First Fall Reads

Two books I’m eager to read this fall — Elizabeth Strout’s third novel featuring Lucy Barton, Lucy by the Sea, is out September 20, and the chicest of the chic, Deeda Blair: Food Flowers, & Fantasy available October 18.

:
  • Brilliant recommendations. I’ve only read the irate Lucy book so this is a great reminder. Deeda Blair is a marvel.
    Thanks.

  • On the subject of books, I am currently reading Fellowship Point by Alice Elliott Dark and really enjoying it.

  • Thank you for highlighting these. I’m particularly excited for Deeda Blair’s book. Hospitality will always matter.

  • I’ve pre-ordered Lucy by the Sea, as I love all her books and have fallen hard for Lucy Barton and can’t wait to read about this next chapter of her life. Also, Signal Fires, the first novel written by Dani Shapiro is due to drop soon. And….John Irving’s first novel in seven years, The Last Chairlift will be available mid October. One of the best parts of fall is the release of great novels.
