Yesterday, Chanel showed a stunning Cruise 2025/26 collection at the Villa d’Este on Lake Como. The totes are perfection.

I found the best part of this Show to be the setting. I question if all of the pieces lacked the Chanel logo and if it weren’t set in such an idyllic old hotel on Lago Como, would impressions change? What if these clothes were being paraded around the civic auditorium in, say, Des Moines, Iowa, and without the celebrity audience? How would it come off? And are these pieces that 20 years from now we will pull from the back of the closet and view as eternally chic? I thought the most stylish image was Sophia Coppola in that adorable little speedboat.
