Slip Into Saint Laurent

Both toe shapes on these SS24 Saint Laurent slip-ons are divine. Left & right.

With a significant LVMH-backed investment last March, A.P.C. is having a growth spurt. Founded in 1987 by Jean Touitou, the brand is expanding and yesterday launched a line of self-care products. The house’s signature orange blossom scent is featured. A longtime A.P.C. fan, I’m eager to try all of the above.

I have my eye on this Moncler quilted down shell jacket, it would look great with these Frame Slim Palazzo jeans — a perfect pairing.

I’m completely taken with this picture of Princess Olympia of Greece and Denmark in February Town & Country. The enchanting Prada shift and satin mules take ‘pretty’ in a whole new direction. I love Princess Olympia’s hair and lip color, too.

It’s halftime so I thought I’d put together several images that have been sitting on my desktop. I’m a huge fan of Sofia Richie Grainge’s classics focused personal style. This David Yurman Cable ring would be a nice addition to her stack, and mine… In a brilliant move, Estée Lauder tapped Frédéric Malle (whose perfume brand was acquired by the Estée Lauder Companies in 2015) to revive and modernize five classic fragrances. The Legacy Collection will be available February 1. Not sure how I missed the release of Claire Keegan’s So Late In The Day last November. It’s excellent. The Manolo Blahnik Turgimod is another true classic — the calf and suede T-bar is the ultimate slingback. Early fall 2023 I predicted patterned tights would be everywhere. Now, in the depths of winter, solid colors are looking super chic.

Last July I started my style re-evaluation. Can’t say I’ve progressed very far, but images like these in February Vogue France inspire me to shake things up a bit. Stylist Taylor Angino’s clever layering on Suzi de Givenchy is on my inspiration board.
Chemena Kamali was designing a line for Frame when she was named Chloé creative director, and her pieces are now available. I popped into the Frame shop to try these Camille slingbacks. The twist detail gives them a cool Emmanuelle Alt vibe and I’m wearing them with slim jeans and an oversized sweater.

These FW24 The Row boots are just what I’ve been looking for. Sadly, I’ll have to wait until next fall.

I watched Past Lives, starring Greta Lee, on a flight last week and it is excellent. Marcheline Isabelle posted recently on Ms. Lee’s red carpet looks. Inverno, poet Cynthia Zarin’s first novel, is next in the queue — I want to finish it before I hear her speak this Thursday. Bows are everywhere so I pulled out my Jennifer Behr Gretta. I bought a pair of pumps from The Row’s Resort collection and love them. The ones above are the SS24 version and here. It would, undoubtedly, be sacrilegious to reupholster Mother’s Frances Knoll sofa in a floral print, but I’m tempted. This Nuxe body spray that I picked up at Monoprix in Paris is lovely. Next trip to Paris is late March/early April and I want to see Exteriors — Annie Ernaux and Photography at MEP. The exhibition “celebrates the close relationship between photography and the writing of Annie Ernaux, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2022, through texts from her book Exteriors (Journal du dehors) 1993, and photographs from the MEP collection.” Lastly, these Prada trousers are something my wardrobe is lacking.

I’m sure many of you received this Kendall Conrad email yesterday, too. Silver jewelry is roaring back and it looks especially stunning styled with KC’s wrapped cuff and cream fisherman-knit sweater.
