On My Mind

A Lazy Sunday

A late night + a lost hour = a lazy Sunday. Jenny Jackson’s Pineapple Street is living up to the hype — it’s a fun read. Sheet-pan chicken is an easy meal, and I’m attempting Miu Miu’s layering of a T-shirt under a twinset topped with a hoodie — super comfy.

Spring Inspiration

This Bottega Veneta SS23 look is my favorite from all of the spring collections and it’s my template for how I want to dress when the weather warms up.  Top and here, skirt and here.

On My Inspiration Board

My Uniform

Late last August I posted this image — Look #10 in The Row’s SS23 lookbook — because it was top of my FW22 inspiration board. I’ve been wearing numerous versions of this outfit for months and will continue to do so until it’s too warm. Kitten heel slingbacks work well, too.

All of these items will be available end of this month and you can preorder the boots.

Earth Tones

Recently, these are the bags I‘ve been reaching for most often. I like them best with a grey peacoat – anything grey, actually.

Saint Laurent hobo, Gucci 1955 Horsebit bag, Celine Romy .

Miu Miu

Covetable coats and five-star layering — Miu Miu FW23 has a lot to love.

Louis Vuitton: Fab Boots

These are right up my alley and top my FW23 wishlist.

I 🤎 Brown, Continued

Just about every shade of brown has come down the runways in Paris — Pantone would be proud. Hermès right had the full spectrum, and this Loewe leather dress left, with the tricky bit, is stunning. FW23 Loewe is an excellent collection.

On My Radar

Bits & Bobs

According to WWD “Graydon Carter’s Air Mail is launching a beauty vertical, its first editorial expansion since the launch of the digital publication in 2019. Air Mail Look will publish monthly and be edited by Linda Wells, Air Mail’s beauty columnist since 2021 and founding editor of Allure magazine.” Linda is a brilliant editor, which means Look will be a great read. I did a bit a damage while perusing Bergdorfs last week. The Dior mules were a siren song I could not resist, and I added D.S. & Durga’s s Grapefruit Generation to my perfume wardrobe.

The exhibition Tina Barney: The Beginning just opened at Kasmin Gallery and I wanted to get downtown yesterday, but time got away from me. The New York Times has a wonderful review.

The Row

The Row does a Balmacaan like no other, and the color of this leather one, from the FW collection shown in Paris yesterday, is sublime. The shoes are fantastic, too. Also, lots of gloves again this season.

A Fine Wine: Bottega’s Barolo

Bottega Veneta’s accessories in a deep red aka Barolo are incredibly chic. Both women above were photographed entering the the FW23 show on Saturday in Milan carrying the house’s signature Foulard bags — woven Foulard and smooth calf Foulard.  Mostra Mary-Jane pump in cherry. I’m champing at the bit for my burgundy Saint Laurent bag to come in so I can wear it now.

Did you notice Mrs. Prada’s pants when she took her bow? So chic.
